WHO I AM

I was born in Brindisi, Italy, and I live in Martina Franca, a small town near Taranto, with my family. Since I was a child I was fascinated by models and very much I enjoyed building model kits. Over the years my passion and experience developed and I improved my models by adding more details.

As a student I studied surveying. My current career is in occupational health and safety issues for work sites.

THE FOCUS OF THIS WEB SITE

This web site is directed to museums, clubs, shipyards and anyone interested in commissioning the build of a scale model of a ship or aircraft. The model can be based on a modern or historic vessel. Often models are commissioned to add to a private collection or to give as a gift.

THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A MODEL

After deciding to build a new model, I conduct extensive research to gather all the historical and technical information available about the original vessel. Determining the exact era that the model represents is important because, during its service, a ship is often upgraded or changed. This is particularly true with warships as they are often upgraded with radar, cranes, guns, and other wartime modifications. Before commencing a model build I address and resolve these issues so the final model will accurately represent the original vessel or aircraft for a given era.

Building the models shown on these pages required dedication, precision, passion, craftsmanship, attention to detail and historical research. In fact, it is more of a passion than a job.

THE PRICE OF THE MODELS

Is not possibile to fix an everage price for building a scale model. Each model is unique and individually hand-crafted. The price will be determined by the kind of model, the time required, the materials required, and the difficulty in building the model. For commissioned jobs I make a preliminary analysis of what will be involved to complete the model and develop an estimate. The price in the estimate is the final price and will not increase unless there are product change requests on the part of the buyer.
