Esploratore Ancona

(EX GRAUDENZ)

The model represents the Royal Explorer Ancona, a German-built cruiser assigned to the Italian Royal Navy at the end of the Great War. It was in service until 1930.

This is 1/200 scale display model long, it is nearly 70 cm long. The hull was built

By binding together individually cut sections. Once bounded, the entire hull was sanded to obtain the correct line. The propellers and the axle are made with brass.

The detailing is comprised of copper and brass pipes, nails, springs, wood, plastic, alluminium and cloths.

The model is displayed on a brass stand with a mirrored base. The model is also equipped with a dust-proof showcase and a brass label with the name of the ship.
