General Dynamics F-16

The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a USAF multi-role fighter. It's described as an extraordinary aircraft, well-planned to be simple and functional.

Initially, two versions of he plane were built: the F-16A single seater for dog-fighting and the F-16B double seater for fighting and training.

In the ‘80s the A and B versions was replaced by C and D versions. These versions were improved with a better engine and an improved avionics. These kind of modifications have continued to be made until present.

This 1/12 model of this very famous aircraft show an F-16A on service in the “Thunderbirds” , the US Air Force Aerobatic team based at Nellis AFB, Nevada.

The dimension of the model are: 120 cm length.; 79 cm wingspan, 40 cm height.

The fuselage is made with a transversal frame of plywood and planking of balsa wood. The wings are made of solid plywood. The cockpit is a plastic kit, while the landing gear, the engine exaust and the canopy are hand built.
